"Sólo Mujeres: HOME / inside out"
      an interdisciplinary exhibit
      Exhibition Dates: March 12-April 18
      Opening : Wednesday, March 12, 2014 / 7:00 pm / Gallery

A home is a place that is close to our heart, it triggers self-reflection, thoughts about who someone is or used to be or who they might become. This exhibition invites established and emerging Latina (preferably but not exclusive) female artists to explore through installation the symbolic spaces of home: living room/dining room, kitchen/pantry, bedrooms, bathroom, laundry, patio and balcony. The gallery will be transformed into a house which rooms will be delimited by see through fabric to show the fragility of housing in The San Francisco's Mission District.

A night of spoken word, poetry, storytelling, and performances by crew members of La onda bajita. It's a night of family, community, and sharing with the folks who do bay area radio on kpfa 94.1fm Friday nights.

Circulo Cultural Presents: Abuelita de Batman y Tres de Pilón
      Saturday, March 29 / 7:00pm / $15 General Audience / Theater

"Abuelita de Batman" nos da un vistazo a la vida de un político promiscuo, un reo despreciado, un galán con SIDA, un matrimonio abierto, y uno que otro asesino de pilón, todos con algo en común. Estas situaciones pueden ser difíciles de digerir por su similitud a la vida actual y en consecuencia, la obra termina siendo una sátira de la sociedad en la que vivimos.
