In the "Heritage of Escambia County, Alabama" Annette Findley
Truesdell submitted an article on the Stone family with the following
        information:

John Benjamin Stone (3/30/1844 SC- 5/13/1938 Damascus, AL) m1 Elmira
Lucinda White (1861-12/06/1883). They had one child: Elmira Lucinda
        Stone(12/6/1883-2/27/1972) m1. Alexander McGowin, m2. Marvin E.
Howard. John married second Amanda Almira Manning (1/13/1860
Damascus, 12/29/1953 Brewton), the daughter of Lawrence Wesley
(William?) Manning and Martha Ann Mancill. They had 7 children: 1.
Martha Rebecca 3/25/1889-7/8/1965 m. Hillary Herbert Findley, 2. John
        Wesley 7/21/1891-2/15/1947 m. Mary Harger. 3. Robert Henry, 1/31/1893-
        2/10/1927 m. Bernice Parker, 4. Charles Elison H. 1/1/1895-
        12/25/1943, 5. Mary Etta 11/1/1896-2/5/1958 m. Grover Cleveland Evans
(son of Lemuel Tippin Evans and Frances Elizabeth White). 6. Malcolm
        McDonald 3/21/1900-12/3/1942. and 7. Infant 2/25/1903-3-26-1903.

This article actually goes back to John Benjamin's parents who were
Charles Elison and Sarah Rebecca Reeves. Charles was the son of
Benjamin R. Stone and Sarah Ellison.

        Hope this helps.

        Linda
