The United Polish Genealogical Societies will be holding its Biennial
conference April 18-21, 2008 in Salt Lake City.
If you've never been to a Polish genealogical conference or never been
to Salt Lake City, the "mother" of all Family History Centers, then
you should attend.
In fact, if you can arrange it, you might stay for a few days after
the conference ends so you can take advantage of the films at the
Family History Library. Also, the library has many books which are not
allowed to be sent to the Family History Centers so this would be an
opportunity to look at those as well. Of course, you might want to do
a little sightseeing.
It is recommended that if you attend the conference, you contact the
FHL ahead of time with regards to the films you think you'd like to
view. That way, if the films aren't in the library, they can be pulled
from the vault and copied for you. Otherwise you might have to wait a
couple of days and that could ruin your research schedule.
There is no rental fee for viewing the films at the Family History
Library in Salt Lake City.
