      EDITORS NOTE:

      Yes er, um, well the first is just plain wrong but you can understand why
      they are confused.... However they are two very different groups.
      Harvestmen are classified and grouped with spiders in the Order
      Arachnida and have 8 legs and Crane-flies are insects with 6 legs and
      are placed with flies in the Order Diptera. I suppose Crane-flies are
      usually called daddy-long-legs in the UK because they are often seen
      flying around the house and garden, and they have much longer legs than
      most flies. For pictures of these insects see:-
