Deep Impact: 27 hrs, 20 min
- I plan on trying to see this with my telescope, but it will be so low on the
horizon, I may not find somewhere to set up with an unobstructed view.
However, much like televised professional sports, I will get infinitely
better images online and on TV. :-(

NASA's Deep Impact spacecraft continues to sail through its final checkout,
as it hurtles toward comet Tempel 1. Impact with the comet is scheduled for
1:52 a.m. EDT, July 4 (10:52 p.m. PDT, July 3).
