Good Morning Bridge Point Community ~
If you know of anyone else who is having issues with water and/or ice damming in the Bridge Point area, please let me know. I am currently trying to locate an owner by the name of Joe in the 6000 address back in the condos. At the instruction of Towne Prop. Deer Park Roofing has done a great job at working on finding the problems. I do have the utmost faith in Deer Park Roofing as to how knowledgeable and capable they will be in fixing this problem. Both Nick Sabino and Vic Sabino have been very instrumental in telling me the truth and knowing how to fix the problem.
WARNING to all condo owner's. Please check the insulation in your attic area. The findings at my building were startling and very sad. To bring some of you up to speed. Deer Park Roofing has been able to use an infra-red camera to confirm some of my concerns. The camera was able to determine where there was NO insulation or water damage to the condo. I have been dealing with this problem since the condo was purchased back in 2008. I have had water coming in for the last 5+ years and Fischer was aware every time and never fixed it. They would claim every Spring that is was fixed. Right! It is not very pleasant on Christmas morning to have water dripping and running down your back window! This issue was noted on my one month evaluation and my one year evaluation. Problem is that Fischer is dodging their responsibility.
Fischer employee's have been up in the attic many times and always assured me there was enough insulation. In my opinion, they must be blind or just not very educated about insulation! Seeing bare wood should have been a clue. Fischer Homes is denying that they are responsible for any of this. I do not agree and feel it is not fair to the HOA to have to deal with poor workmanship from a lousy builder.
In addition, since I reside on the top floor and the interior wall by the steps has water coming in the ceiling and down the wall. Evidently, there is little or no insulation in that wall at all. The drywall is completely saturated with water and water damage is also on the ceiling. I believe that the interior wall is going to have to be cut out completely to repair properly. Also, the exterior brick wall of the same area may have to have work done in the Spring.
I can only speak for myself, but quite frankly, I would never recommend Fischer Homes to anyone. They are not backing their building errors which have caused me 5+ years of extensive repair work that I have had to pay for. I have damage to my curtains and my carpet. Not to mention, the time, money and stress that goes along with it. Lastly, why keep fixing the area when the original problem was never fixed? I am sad and very disappointed to see that Fischer will not claim any responsibility for this and passed the buck to Towne Properties. This does trickle down to everyone within our community. We keep paying HOA fees and it is going to cost quite a bit of money to get all of this fixed.
Hope you are staying dry and warm! In addition, I do hope that the owner, President and VP's at Fischer Homesvare staying warm and DRY in their homes. Bah-hum-bug!
