so the rebels have taken sibut from the chadians & govt
& the chadians & govt have retaken damara from the rebels

but then how could the rebels still be at the gates of bangui
since that was only a journalistic code or trope for damara
    their previous spearhead

& can the govt really be holding bambari if it has lost sibut

anyway if true then that w shaped front line must have flattened out

the new attachment tries to reflect all the supposed changes

This new line suggests a de facto trisecting of CAR. Accepting this as accurate for the pastime of recognizing ephemeral tripoints, if the western third is

This new line suggests a de facto trisecting of CAR.  Accepting this as accurate for the pastime of recognizing ephemeral tripoints, if the western third is rump CAR and the middle third is Seleka, what is the easternmost third?  Also CAR or Erewhon or just what?  It is hard to think Bangui's writ runs there if it is separated from it by Seleka territory.

reports continue to indicate the southeast is presently being contested in a far flung shadow boxing match between king joseph kony of the lords resistance

reports continue to indicate the southeast is presently being contested in a far flung shadow boxing match between king joseph kony of the lords resistance childrens army & the forces of the united states of america

        i call this open frontier
where any writ is just blessed toilet paper

& i cant really comprehend either how the govt forces & rebels keep trading occupancy of the 3 pushpinned locations like they were motels

something is clearly fishy about the latest few days of news reports

but yes in any case your observation about there being a rump west & a rebel northeast & a separate southeast appears correct as of now
except i keep wondering if kony isnt going to turn up within the seleka coalition at any moment
