ugly 1914 bottle
- A friend gave an interesting if not a plain ugly
bottle. Does anyone have info on it? It is a full
pint amber flask with a spider web design front and
back with a spider on the back. This one has a dose
cap as a lid. The labels are still fairly good.
Front reads: Whisky/ "Antique"/ one pint 100 proof/
bottled at the Frankport Distillery/ .../ produced
spring 1914 by/ JOHN B THOMPSON/ distillery No. 63/
Dist of Kentucky/ for medicinal purposes only/ sale or
use for other purposes/ will cause any penalities to
be inflicted. The backlable reads: "Antique"/
Spirits fremunti/ 100 proof/ alcoholic stimulant from
the/ pemitted mash of grain. A second partial label
on the back reads: Aged in wood. Around the
shoulders, front and back NON-REFILLABLE. The dose
cap has imprinted: The Frankport Distillery
Thanks for any info on this one.
