      I am new in field of rtos,I have experience of 1 year in embedded system and I want to start on RTOS so please help me.I am presently working on atmega162 so please tell me about some free rtos on net and their toturial.

      RTOSes have a lot of paradigms to consider. Start by analysing my kernel, perhaps it will shed some light into multitasking before you tackle the intricacies

        FreeRTOS is free :) and has been ported to several processors. It is not the easiest to start with but can be compiled with the free gcc-avr compiler. All

          Mihai has a good suggestion there, Real time systems can be a real nightmare for beginners especially debugging (Re-entrancy for example), look at something

            Mihai has a good suggestion there, Real time systems can be a real nightmare for beginners especially debugging (Re-entrancy for example), look at something relativly simple first, i would recommend the Femtos multitasking os as a start, have used it myself for light projects.
