- New York Foundation for the Arts Announces Funding Resource
The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) has begun
offering NYFA Source at http://www.nyfa.org/nyfa_source.asp?id=47&fid=1 . This site is a search source providing information on over 2,600 awards programs, 2,100 service programs, and over 700 publications aimed at performing artists.
From the main page of the site you can use a drop-down menu to specify a discipline, including dance, literature, and music. Once you've chosen one you'll get an additional search form that allows you to specify more search variables, including geographic eligibility, type of award, and subcategories.
Search results include name of award and contact information, as well as a summary of the award. A series of icons indicate whether the award is by nomination only (and therefore no applications are accepted) as well as if it requires a registration fee and if the information was not verified by the awarding group. Click on the "Learn More" link for each item to get extensive information on the opportunity, ending with the last date the item was updated.
