      Judith Hoffman will be teaching "Metal Techniques for Book Artists" at
      Cubberly, in Palo Alto, California. The class meets from 10 to 1 on
      Saturdays, beginning April 9, ending June 18. There will be no class May
      14th. Download the class schedule at http://www.paenjoy.org/.
      <http://www.paenjoy.org/>

      "Metal Techniques for Book Artists" covers making books with materials
      like copper, brass, plexiglas and formica. You will learn to use the
      jeweler's saw and flex shaft. Several simple bindings will be covered,
      also rivets, and other cold connection techniques. These are basically
      jewelry techniques, adapted for book making. These techniques also work
      well on Davey board and altered book covers.
      There is a gallery of student work at:
      http://judithhoffman.net/gallery5student/gallery5index.html

      This class is perfect for people looking for new ways to add found
      objects to their books, and for people who are pack rats.

      Judith Hoffman,
      artist's books, metalwork and jewelry
