• ### Re: [bolger] Re: Wanted: Black Skimmer, Martha Jane, Dovekie or similar

RE: What went wrong and good idea. Renting any boat is not a good idea and what went wrong is everything. I had a boat rental for years in Fl. Never once did any renter admit to doing something wrong or stupid. Even when I pulled them off a sandbar or had them hook up the fuel line wrong after filling up the gas , was it their fault. Been there done that - you don't want to ! Capt...

Fractions suck to do math with. Convert to decimals : 1/8 = .125 , 1/4 = .250 3/16 = .137 , 5/16 = .312 or of course use the metric system. Careful with that stern anchor. I once anchored a Morgan 41 OI. fore and aft in Longboat Pass in Fl. We woke up at dawn with the boat sideways to a falling tide with both rodes tight as a drum . The tide runs about 4 knots and the boat was healed about 30 degrees. The lines were so tight I could not free them from the cleats. I tied a boat cushion to the aft line and cut it with a...

Sue,perhaps you could do 1:1 plans. Then we could use our 3 D printers and just build the boat that way. Be sure to warn buyers to "take the machine outside" before pressing the start button! Would you recommend Ford on the Chevy site or try to tout Coke on the Pepsi site ? Nothing against an imitator but this IS a Bolger site. Sues response was a lot milder than mine would have been.
