      Hi,

for those that are interested I am making some progress with my Chebacco 25 project I started some six months ago. After studying the plans in BWAOM and building the moulds and frame from the offsets given the project got a kick start from a number of directions at once.

      - Susanne got back to me about (full size) plans, offered some advice on their use and improvements that might be made (the design is 18 years old and many lessons have been learned by Chebacco 20 builders in the intervening time).

      - A guy on ebay advertised a pallet load of good 15mm marine ply for about half what it is worth (and I bought it).

      - I joined the local wooden boat association where there were plenty of members to offer advice, encouragement and admiration (and they have).

So now I have the bottom and two planks on and a better idea of how some of the project details are going to work.

A mate of mine has started putting together a website that contains progress photos. It is not very good yet, but will improve with time.

      sites.google.com/site/warrandytewoodenboat/

I'll put some more photos up on the Photos section of this group too.

I have set my objective to get the hull to turning over point by the end of summer (southern hemisphere)
