      All,
My morning routine entails a visit to Sailing Anarchy's website.
      http://www.sailinganarchy.com/index_page1.php
If you aren't familiar, SA is a sailing/racing website known for its
outspoken (and sometimes profanity laced) opinions of racing sailboats.
Pictures of Bolger box boats occasionally appear along with derisive
comments from the minions of the spaghetti kettle. I still enjoy
prowling SA, in part because I'm amused by sailors who pay more for
new sails each season than I spent building my Long Micro.

Imagine my surprise when today's SA front page has a picture of a
young woman building a Bolger Gypsy. The caption reads, "...building
a 15-foot planing dinghy (Phil Bolger's Gypsy), intended to hunt down
Lasers." It is probably the first time I've seen positive press given
to Bolger on SA. If someone on the list would like their very own
Gypsy and trailer, you can have mine (although I did not wear an
evening gown while I built my Gypsy). It (my Gypsy, not my evening
gown) is listed on Craig's list (Toledo, Ohio).

          Thick skin is required.

My first Bolger boat was a Gypsy and think it may have the best
effort-to-build verses fun-to-sail ratio of any Bolger boat.

Bill, I looked at your ad and the photos were rather low-resolution -
can you put some pix in the photos section, please?

She is one beautiful lady too. If that was a staged shot I will be crushed. I hope to see her at some point sailing her boat. I would guess that SA will have many requests for a follow up on the progress of that build. Sorry to sound like such a sexist person but that piece could attract much attention to the hobby of building and sport of sailing. I think Caroline opened a few eyes recently building her boat. I am very near a sailing club and most of the sailors are women. I wish they would build a few boats.
I hope to see more on the Gypsy woman in the future (and her boat).
