I would be extremely careful sanding a '64 model - make sure you know what kind of aluminum you have. Paint remover will take off the clear coat. If you did

Dave, I have a 73 Boles (hard anodized thankfully) and a 73 Airstream (Al-clad like your Boles) and it had to be polished. If your Boles isn’t badly pitted,

    This Spartan was corroded so bad I had to cut it with 80 grit first then 220 followed by 400 on to 600 and finally 800 prior to ant polish! Dave Sent from my

    You have a boles aero and she was made out of airplane metal. I use met-all, polisher. Clean with dish soap and water; then with simple green aluminum cleaner

    I have heard that there is a thin layer of a different type of aluminum that takes a lasting polish over the aluminum skin and that sanding would damage this

    Bill I don't think there is a shortcut to a good shine. If you enjoy an old trailer with pure aluminum it's a lot better. I like to sand the trailer first
