      The role will be fluid and fast-paced, ranging from nitty gritty research and legwork, to writing and reporting pieces and building long-term strategy.
      You should be passionate about African American LGBT lifestyle content — read the blogs, enjoy the books, dress the part, and understand that your voice can make a difference.
      Helpful: experience with social media, photography, graphic design.
      Responsibilities:
      ·        Research and fact-check various content for editorial
      ·        Participate in publication daily close, including copy-editing editorial
      ·        Write features and curate content
      ·        Contribute to editorial planning and strategy process
      ·        Help manage social media presence
      Qualifications:
      ·        Currently enrolled in college, or have writing or reporting experience
      ·        Applicants must have experience writing and reporting for either their college publications or for other publications, preferably with a style or activities focus.
      ·        Enthusiasm, reliability and a team-oriented attitude
      ·        Quick-learner and self-starter comfortable with rapid change
      ·        A sense of humor

UrbanSocialites acts as a source of encouragement for the subjects of its profiles, as well as the subscribers exposed to them. Our goal is to develop the urbanite by defining individuality, stepping outside of the status quo and redefining the cultural limits of the subscriber's lifestyle. This community stands for diversity, holding no barriers to gender or particular culture or subculture.
