Subject: Hunters Point Naval Shipyard Fact Sheets: Quarterly Progress Update and Parcels UC-1 and UC-2

The Navy is continuing to clean up Hunters Point Naval Shipyard (HPNS) to prepare it for redevelopment so the people of San Francisco can live, work, and enjoy open space there. The Navy wants to make sure that anyone interested in the cleanup at HPNS gets information. In addition to the local telephone hotline at (415) 295-4742 and the email address, info@..., informational fact sheets are developed to update community members on the progress of cleanup activities at the former Shipyard. The current Quarterly Update that summarizes the Navy's community involvement activities from January through March 2013 is attached.

As part of the environmental cleanup program at HPNS, the Navy recently completed a remedial action at the utility corridors, known as Parcels UC-1 (Spear Avenue) and UC-2 (Robinson Street). Attached is an informational fact sheet, which was mailed in February 2013 to the HPNS USPS mailing list, that describes the remedial action.

Both of these documents are available on the Navy website at www.bracmo.navy.mil.

For more information, or if you have any questions about this project, please contact me by phone at (415) 295-4645 or email at info@.... Hard copies of recent Navy publications will be available at HPNS community meetings and events throughout the year. Additional information on the cleanup activities at HPNS is also available at the Navy website at www.bracmo.navy.mil.
