    August Community Meeting

As a part of its continuing efforts to reach out to the community, the Navy invites you to attend a Hunters Point Naval Shipyard (HPNS) Community Meeting on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, where you can learn more about the Navy’s environmental cleanup activities at HPNS. Meeting details may be found below:

    Topic:
    Shipyard Fieldwork Update:
Utility Corridors Field Work and Basewide Radiological Cleanup Activities
    Date:
    Wednesday, August 22, 2012
    Time:
    6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    Location:
    Bayview Opera House
    4705 Third Street
    San Francisco, CA 94124

The Navy will be discussing recent progress at the Shipyard utility corridors (known as Parcels UC-1 and UC-2) and the basewide radiological cleanup program. In addition, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will make a presentation at the meeting.
For your reference, please find attached the Agenda for the August Community Meeting.

To help interested community members better plan for future Navy Community Meetings, HPNS bus tours, and other community events where the Navy will have information, hard copies of the updated 2012 HPNS Calendar of Community Events will be available at the Community Meeting.
