Hello Mighty Juryoneans for the last time this basho,

After Hakuho's loss mediocre low scores - 10 points being the highest score for Juryo division.

Here is the report for day 14:

      ***** **--- -----
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------
GG comments: Nice comment ***** **--- ----- whatever it means didn't help Fuguyanagi who lost 5:6 to Yassier, a visitor from Makushita. While Yassier will be staying in Makushita (at 6-8) for at least another basho, Fuguyanagi might be joining him (at 3-11).
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------

      Bout 19 - Chimatayama (J10E) 8 [9-5] Mitokorozeme sekihiryu (ms2W) 0 [9-5]

      Comment:
Well, it got so that every piss-ant prairie punk who thought he
could shoot a gun would ride into town to try out the Waco Kid.
I must have killed more men than Cecil B. DeMille. It got pretty
gritty. I started to hear the word "draw" in my sleep. Then one
day, I was just walking down the street when I heard a voice
behind me say, "Reach for it, mister!" I spun around... and
there I was, face to face with a six-year old kid. Well, I just
threw my guns down and walked away. Little bastard shot me in
the ass. So I limped to the nearest saloon, crawled inside a
whiskey bottle... and I've been there ever since.
      ---------------------------------------------------------------------
GG comments: Another visitor from Makushita Sekihiryu who couldn't score 1 point and lost 0-8 to Chimataiyama. Both players are at 9-5, so Sekihiryu, despite the horrible bout, will be a Juryo next basho.
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------

      Bout 20 - Saruyama (J8E) 3 [8-6] Kozumatori Bill (J14E) 2 [10-4]

      Bench: Jokoryu [+] Shohozan [+] Okinoumi [-] Kisenosato [+] Tochinoshin [-]
      Comment:
So. Hakuho seems to be okay enough to still win. So back to the
top he goes.... please don't make me regret this.

      Spoon!

Bill (J14E) 2 (Submitted by Bill at 20 Jul, 2013 10:03 AM JST)

      Bench: Myogiryu [-] Ikioi [+] Shohozan [+] Okinoumi [-] Kisenosato [+]
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------
GG comments: Was he? What a score 3:2 - like in a football (soccer) game, and the win goes to............spooning Saroyama, giving him a KK (8-6), Ehey, over Bill, who despite the loss is at 10-4 and a co-leader. And he could be a lone leader if he had won. :(
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------

      Bout 21 - Takanorappa (J12E) 4 [6-8] Harimanage Hana-ichi (J7W) 8 [8-6]

      Bench: Tochiozan [+] Shohozan [+] Okinoumi [-] Goeido [+] Tochinoshin [-]
      Comment:
an fairly unconventional lineup. I think I'll have a genki-less
      bench and maybe 10 points.

      - vs -

      Hana-ichi (J7W) 8 (Submitted by Hana-ichi at 20 Jul, 2013 05:19 AM JST)

      Bench: Shohozan [+] Kisenosato [+] Wakanosato [+] Okinoumi [-] Aoiyama [-]
      Comment:
okay, I think that will be a 7-7 after day 14, everything else
would be like birthday and Christmas on one day.

But hope dies last and at least I hope I will get the right
opponent on day 15! (I could give our torikumi-maker a little
wink, but I won`t, because I am a little bit superstitious).

      OMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

      Hana-ichi
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------
GG comments. No not true! Hana-ichi wins 8:6 over Takanorappa and gets her KK :), while Taka suffers the loss and gets a MK :(.
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------

      Bout 22 - Marimo (J9W) 5 [7-7] Susoharai Rubensan (J5W) 5 [6-8]

      Bench: Toyonoshima [-] Okinoumi [-] Aoiyama [-] Chiyonokuni [-] Tochinoshin [-]
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------
GG comments: 5:5 tie (oh, yes) between Marimo and Rubensan. The win goes to Marimo on the first bench rikishi. The result - Marimo is at 7-7 and has another day to get a KK. No luck for Rubensan, who gets MK.
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------

      Bout 23 - Getayukata (J4E) 7 [5-9] Kimetaoshi Sebunshu (J12W) 4 [3-11]

      Comment:
Still fighting for my pride ...... cannot make up my mind
between Hak and Kise, so I have benched them both.

      Bench: Aran [+] Aoiyama [-] Okinoumi [-] Kisenosato [+] Tochinoshin [-]
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------
GG comments: Getayukata wins 7:4 over Sebunshu and at 6-9 will stay in Juryo, while Sebunshu at 3-11 might play in Makushita next basho. :(

      Comment:
Hmmm, looks like I might have missed my promotion opportunity by
      droning one night, and losing...bummer...
Oh well, KK will have to do.
      Tonight would be good thanks.
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------
GG comments: Not tonight Robocopthat. Haidouzo wins 10:7 and at 10-4 is the second member of the leading Trio. Robocopthat at 7-7 has another chance on Senshuraku to get his KK. Good luck!

I'm almost in the yusho hunt, but that line-up is so fragile...
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------
GG comments: The hunt becomes more difficult! Doitsuyama wins 7:5 and at 7-7 has another shot on KK. Terarno at 9-5 is 1 win behind the leading trio.

      ----------------------------------------------------------------------
GG comments: Oshirokita, already with KK loses 5:8 to Taka, who gets his KK. There is one more day but this loss might be costly for Oshirokita. But Oshirokita fought this basho. Good luck on Senshuraku!

The Baker St. Boys are back for another basho, and looking to
      climb the ranks further.

Well this basho is certainly not going the way I hoped, but that
will not get me down. Well my luck is running the wrong way
right now, so All I can do is keep trying. Here is today's
attempt to get a win, is it good enough?

May the spirits guide and protect us.

      ----------------------------------------------------------------------
GG comments: The Baker St. boys must wait for the next basho, I think, despite the "big" win 6:2 over Ekogizan. Sherlokiama is at 5-9, while Ekogizan's loss gave him a MK (6-8) and deprive him from Makuuchi promotion. Oh man.
      ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well! That is for Nagoya 2013! One part of us are happy, another part are sad, but.......... there is always the next basho!

Saying Sayonara and see you at Aki basho!
