CONTEMPORARY JEWELRY DESIGN CLASS

Come and join this exciting class in Nashville in contemporary jewelry with visiting artist Jesse Bert from Mexico. With 14 years' experience in his field, Jesse is a practicing professional that makes unique one-of-a-kind works of art and jewelry. He teaches workshops throughout Mexico and the US each year.
The theme of this class is: CARVED WOOD AS MEDIUM FOR CONTEMPORARY JEWELRY.
In this class, students will make a locket or reliquary type object using carved hardwood, taking a closer look at how carved wood and paint finishes can become a distinct contemporary medium for jewelry.
Class demos will also cover etching with salt-water, torch fired enamel, and rivets (both wire and tube).
