It's a beautiful place to hang, with truly great people, much like catsailors. Find a way to show some year, you'll be heartily welcomed, as I was. Every March, Ivanpah Dry Lake Bed, one hour south of Las Vegas at Primm, NV.

          Dave

I attended the America's Cup of Landsailing to meet up with Dave Farmer there. First time we've seen one another even though I sold him a catamaran last year and we had it shipped from my home to his.

Dave was a blast to hang out with; most dirt sailors are. Most cat sailors are. Most any kind of high speed sailors are. He let me drive his landsailor that you see in that video of him. Dave is the one in the Yellow helmet that capsizes. I think I did 53 mph while I was there.

Dave was ripping around in high wind, with a storm sail hoisted. Most everyone was keeping their boats sitting still while Dave and two or three other hard core adreniline junkies had the lake-bed to themselves. I think Dave logged over 61 mph during those days.

Dave and I had a great time for a couple of days and the NALSA folks sure put on a great get-together every night with awards, pictures, and of course a lot of good food and drinks.

Thanks Dave and thanks to all the other fine NALSA folks.

They also do an event during Thanksgiving weekend. Two big events there at Ivanpah lake, CA, each year; Fall and Spring. Camping allowed, outhouses provided, inexpensive Nevada Casino Hotels about 3 miles away!

See you there and don't forget your (motorcyle) crash helmet!

            GARY
