If you're getting to Phoenix for Sweet Adeline International by next Saturday
(9/6) and you can only play golf and visit the Grand Canyon for so many days,
you have the opportunity to hear the very first public performance of an
exciting new men's barbershop show chorus.

The Pride of Phoenix Chorus will be giving its charter show on Saturday,
September 6.  This 50-man barbershop chorus is directed by Russ Young and Gary
Steinkamp, both former directors of the Phoenicians and members of International
third place Standing Room Only quartet.  The chorus was formed just last year
and has experienced amazing growth, increasing from 15 men at the first of
this year to their present size.

The show will be held at Shadow Mountain High School Auditorium, 2902 E Shea
Blvd in Phoenix at 7:00 PM.  Featured acts besides the chorus will be two
quartets from this Summer’s International barbershop competition in Montreal:
BROADWAY from Phoenix and FINALE with members from Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles
      and Phoenix.

Tickets are $15 each.  For information call Ticket Chairman Dan Wildes at
602-549-0321 or me (see below), or just show up. What the heck. . .even a great
chorus like this won't fill a 1200 seat auditorium for its very first show.

      Greater Phoenix Chapter
