Nashville Singers is a 501c3 nonprofit performing arts organization
founded in November of 2008 by a handful of men committed to
excellence in vocal and choral performance. The group’s mission is to
enrich lives through singing and the support of music education. This
support comes in the form of music education grants, college
scholarships, master classes in area schools, and an annual free
singing lessons program called Acappella Academy. In the last three
years, this all volunteer organization has awarded $6,000 in music
education grants and scholarships, impacting 200+ students in seven
      schools across Middle Tennessee.

The biggest source of funding for these grants and scholarship
programs is the group’s annual Season of Harmony concert. In the last
three years, this concert series has attracted a combined 1000+
attendees from 38 cities in eight states across the USA.

This year’s Season of Harmony concert will take place on Saturday
evening, November 23rd at 7:00pm at First Baptist Church of Donelson,
and will be hosted by WKRN’s John Dwyer. A silent auction will begin
that evening at 6:00pm. Over $3,000 worth of auction items will be
open for bids through the end of intermission. The concert will
feature selections by Nashville Singers, and will include a cameo
appearance by guest soloist Melody Myers. Tickets are $15 each and
can be purchased from a chorus member or online by visiting
      www.nashvillesingers.org.

To commemorate 5th anniversary of the Nashville Singers, Tennessee
Governor Bill Haslam has issued a proclamation declaring November
23rd, 2013 as “Nashville Singers Day” in State of Tennessee.

The Nashville Singers will be releasing their second CD the weekend of
these concerts. This new recording will feature a variety of Christmas
      holiday favorites.

For residents in Rutherford County, a second concert will be presented
on Sunday afternoon November 24th at 2:30pm at Lifepoint Church in
Smyrna. This concert will be hosted by WKRN’s Dawn Davenport. There
will be no auction at this event. Tickets for the matinee performance
are $10 each and can be purchased from a chorus member or online by
      visiting www.nashvillesingers.org.

      About the Nashville Singers
This auditioned choral ensemble performs a diverse, primarily a
cappella repertoire, covering many genres of music. In five years, the
group has grown from four to 18 singers, learned 49 songs, released
their first CD, and is post-production on a second. They have racked
up 59 performances for 36 organizations in seven counties across
Tennessee. The singers range in age from 21 to 81, and travel from
Brentwood, Franklin, Hendersonville, Hermitage, Lebanon, Mount Juliet,
Nashville, Portland, Smyrna, and La Vergne to participate in chorus
activities. The Nashville Singers have had the pleasure of singing for
several dignitaries, including Nashville Mayor Karl Dean, United
States Senator Trent Lott, Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, and
Lieutenant Governor Ron Ramsey to name a few. In 2013, The Nashville
Business Journal’s annual “Book of Lists” ranked the Nashville Singers
8th in their list of the “Top 20” performing arts organizations in
Nashville. For more information about Nashville Singers, visit them
