      ST. LOUIS, MO. - International Champion men's chorus The Ambassadors
      of Harmony (www.aoh.org <http://www.aoh.org/> ) is thrilled to compete
      on the Gospel Music Channel's "America Sings!" singing
      contest.� The two-time gold medalist chorus of 160 singers from the
      St. Louis area will be featured on GMC's program that showcases dozens
      of musical groups representing a wide variety of musical styles
      including gospel, contemporary a cappella, doo wop, barbershop, and
      others.

      The Ambassadors of Harmony will be featured singing its powerful version
      of "Seventy-Six Trombones" from The Music Man, a performance
      that won the chorus a gold medal at the Barbershop Harmony Society's
      international contest in 2009.

      "America Sings!" is a viewer-judged competition, with the group
      earning the most votes from viewers winning a $10,000 prize. �The
      Ambassadors of Harmony will appear on the program on Wednesday, August 3
      at 8 pm CDT, with a reprise airing at 9 p.m. CDT. Check your local

      ABOUT US: The Ambassadors of Harmony is an all-male a cappella chorus of
      more than 160 voices known for powerful and musically masterful
      performances.� Its repertoire includes Broadway classics,
      barbershop, jazz, pop, and wide selection of holiday favorites

      The non-profit, all-volunteer chorus was originally founded in 1963 and
      has been directed by Dr. Jim Henry -- head of choral studies at the
      University of Missouri-St. Louis -- for about two decades. �Master
      arranger David Wright serves as associate director and provides the
      chorus' musical vision. �Under their direction, the chorus has won
      two gold medals in the Barbershop Harmony Society's international
      contest, most recently in 2009 in Anaheim, Calif. �The Ambassadors
      have sung for audiences across the United States and have also performed
      in England, Ireland, Germany, Holland, and Sweden.
