    Message 1 of 1 , May 6, 2009
      Dear ladies and gentlemen,

we herewith kindly invite you to participate in the International Conference
"Contribution of Research and Technology Development (RTD) to developing
sustainable knowledge-based economies in Central and South East Europe" -
www.investsciencesee.info , which will be held from 22nd-23rd of May 2009 at
      University of Dubrovnik in Dubrovnik/Croatia.

The conference aims at contributing to a better understanding of the role of
Research and Technology Organisations in the development of sustainable
knowledge-based economies in Central and South East Europe in line with EU
Lisbon Strategy with a special focus on the challenge of strengthening the
      links between science and industry.

The insights and personal encounters of the conference shall feed into

The Conference will bring - based on the input of a wide range of
stakeholders - an overview on experience in research and development
cooperation between research institutions (with a focus on research and
technology organisations (RTOs)) and industry in Central and South East
Europe. Particular attention will be given to successful initiatives and
show cases that will be presented by the representatives of JOANNEUM
