As you might be aware SSEES has moved to a new
building. After some disruptions we are now hoping to
start the activities for the new academic year which
will include series of seminars and conferences.
Therefore the Nash Albanian Studies Programme invites
scholars working in pure or comparative Albanian
studies to present their research findings, recent
work and new publications in a series of seminars
which we are scheduling to start next month. The topic
of the seminars this year will be: 'New Research
Agendas in Albanian Studies'. The format of the
seminar will be similar to last year, running Tuesday
evenings from 17.30hrs, and consist of 40 minutes
presentation and 50 minutes discussion, followed by
refreshments. The format is flexible and could include
two shorter presentations.
Potential speakers are encouraged to send an abstract
of their work, if possible a complete work and a
cursory CV to E.Tahiraj@...
. To ensure the
quality of research presented submission of completed
work is given high consideration.
Young scholars are also encouraged to present their
work in progress in the Wednesday lunch time seminars
from 13.00 - 14.00, by sending details of their
affiliation and a short abstract to the address
Seminars are open to UCL, the University of London and
other universities and institutions who conduct
academic research or are involved in policy making.
We aim to make these seminars and conference planned
for this academic year an even greater success than
previously. They will be a great opportunity to
present your work among peers and to network
with colleagues old and new.
We look forward to hearing from you!
