CfA: New Europe: Who's afraid democratization?, Bucharest, 5-11.9.2005 [deadline 15.6.]

IAPSS Bridges Network has the pleasure to invite you and/or
representatives of your association/ organization to participate at the
New Europe. Whos afraid of democratization? international conference
which will take place between 5th 11th of September 2005 in Bucharest,
IAPSS Bridges Network comes as an initiative of the International
Association for Political Science Students in collaboration with the
Association of Political Science Students Bucharest.
IAPSS Bridges Network emerged as a specialized network of and for
political science students from Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe,
an appropriate answer to the necessity of having professional cooperation
between members of the academic political science community from this
The objectives of Bridges Network are:
To develop national and regional projects and programs in which
of the Central and Eastern Europe are discussed and analyzed by political
science students, future opinion leaders and policy makers
To develop and take part in international and European projects
on regional issues
To function as a permanent liaison between its members, facilitating
exchange of knowledge, ideas and opinions, as well as training and full
actualization of its members.
The conference New Europe. Whos afraid of democratization ? represents
a first step in institutionalizing IAPSS Bridges Network. For more details

The invited participants are students of political science and/or
representative of political science students association, originating from
Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic,
Croatia, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Republic of
Moldavia, Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia, Poland, Romania,
Russia, Serbia-Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine.
The activities will include the IAPSS Bridges Network General Assembly,
round tables on democratization and trainings on NGO management. Among
the speakers there will be government officials, political and economic
analysts, university professors.
