      Hello From The BAHL Office!

As we enter Tournament season – keep in mind that you are welcome to volunteer at any of the tournaments and it will count towards your league service hours.  Peewee Travel tournament:  January 20-22, Squirt Travel Tournament:  January 27-29, Mite Tournament: March 16-18, Squirt House tournament: March 23-25.  If you are interested in helping during one of those weekends, please contact someone in that age division or myself.

Thank you to the Adult Hockey League who have been busy cleaning and organizing various areas in the arena and attending the BAHL board meetings to offer input.  If you know or see an adult hockey player, tell them thanks for being an active part of our team!

      Squirts:

This Saturday the Mites are skating in Red Lodge!  This means that the Squirt skaters will have an extra hour of practice Saturday morning:  9:00-11:00 am.  The squirt house game will take place as usual beginning at 9:00 am followed by an extra hour of fun skate time.

      This Weekend:

      Saturday:

12:30 pm  Public Skate – PTA Session.  For participating schools, skaters receive free skate rental and Centennial makes a donation to their PTA organization for each student participating.

5:00 pm  Varsity vs Glasgow/Miles City

      Sunday:

10:15 am  Varsity vs. Glasgow/Miles City

      Gun Raffle:

Do you have gun raffle ticket money from tickets sold?  Please make sure it gets turned in to either your age group director or the league office next week.  Don’t have tickets to sell yet?  Contact me and I will get you a book of 10 tickets.  Cost is $20 per ticket, there will be four winners and just 1,000 tickets will be sold.  The winner will be chosen during the BAHL Casino Night in April.  The BAHL Marketing Committee would like to challenge every BAHL family to sell one book of 10 tickets before Casino Night!

The proceeds from these tickets will go to help with equipment expenses in the arena.

      Board Elections:

We are not far from our BAHL annual meeting which will take place in April.  There are three open positions to be filled at this year’s elections.  Now is the time to start thinking about joining the BAHL Board.  All positions have a three-year term that begins with the next meeting following the elections.  Next month there will be more details about nominations.

      Immediate Opening:

Eric Barnhart, BAHL Vice President, has announced that he and his family will be moving to Portland, Oregon in March.  The BAHL Board will make an appointment to fill this empty position at our February meeting.  If you are interested in this role, please contact the league office no later than February 6th.

A big thank you to Eric and his wife, Jodi, for their time here in our facility and as active members on committees and the BAHL board along with their involvement with the adult hockey league.  We will miss Eric, Jodi, Kaleb and Riley and wish them well in their new city!

        Hello From The BAHL Office!

Ice looks great, the arena looks great and the number of skaters on the ice has been good this week.  One more week of our September schedule which is mainly drop-in sessions and then we move to our October practice schedule.  Don’t forget that you can view the arena schedule at any time through our website at www.centennialicearena.net, just choose the “view schedule” tab on the left side of the page.

Do you have a skater who is at least 16 years of age?  Does this skater need or want a job during the hockey season?  The arena is hiring for skate guards to help during public skate this season.  We will work around travel team schedules.  Send the office an email if you or your skater is interested.

        Mouthguards:

Ostby Orthodontics will offer a free mouthguard fitting which includes a free mouthguard on Sunday, October 7th 3:00-5:00 pm.  This fitting will take place at their heights office which is across Wicks Lane by Wal-Mart.  All BAHL and Learn to Play skaters are welcome to take advantage of this offer!

        Rental Equipment:

Did you miss our equipment date yesterday for the first session of Learn to Play?  Cristina will be available on Saturday during the Learn to Play session at 12:00 to fit your skater.  Please send me an email if you are in need of equipment to get started for this first session.

Mite and Squirt players who need equipment for this season – we will schedule an equipment date for later in October to get you covered.
