      How about:

      [Replace Clause 12.11.32 p. 200]

      12.11.32 Max_Master

This property, of type Unsigned, shall be present if the device is a master node on an MS/TP network. The value of this property shall reflect the value of the Max_Master property of the Network Port object with the lowest object instance whose Network_Type is MSTP and whose Out_Of_Service is FALSE. See 12.X.37.

The value of this property is a local matter if there are no MS/TP Network Port objects with Out_Of_Service set to FALSE.

If this property is writable, writing to this property shall bypass the pending changes functionality of the Network Port Object. See 12.X.11 and 12.X.12.

      Ok, how's this?

      [Replace Clause 12.11.32 p. 200]

      12.11.32 Max_Master

This property, of type Unsigned, shall be present if the device is a master node on an MS/TP network. The value of this property shall reflect the value of the Max_Master property of the Network Port object with the lowest object instance whose Network_Type is MSTP and whose Out_Of_Service is FALSE. See 12.X.37.

If there are no Network Port objects whose Out_Of_Service is FALSE, then the value of this property shall be 127.

If this p roperty is writable, the valid range for the value of this property shall be 0 to 127. Writing to this property shall bypass the pending changes functionality of the Network Port Object. See 12.X.11 and 12.X.12.

      [Replace Clause 12.11.33, p.200]

      12.11.33 Max_Info_Frames

This property, of type Unsigned, shall be present if the device is a master node on an MS/TP network. The value of this property shall reflect the value of the Max_Info_Frames property of the enabled Network Port object with the lowest object instance whose Network_Type is MSTP. See 12.X.38.

If there are no Network Port objects whose Out_Of_Service is FALSE, then the value of this property shall be 1.

Writing to this property shall bypass the pending changes functionality of the Network Port Object. See 12.X.11 and 12.X.12.

I was under the impression that we were not "requiring" the Device Object Max_Master to be writable, but if it was writable, then pending changes would be bypassed.

Something like the following for the second paragraph:

If this property is writable, the valid range for the value of this property shall be 0 to 127. Writing to this property sha ll also update the corresponding Network Port Object Max_Master value bypassing the pending changes functionality of the Network Port O bject. See 12.X.11 and 12.X.12.

      IP-WG,

Based on our teleconference today, here is my proposed language for the max-master property in the Device object.  Let me know what you think. Similar changes will be made for the max-info-frames property.

      [Replace clause 12.11 .32]

      12.11.32 Max_Master

This property, of type Unsigned, shall be present if the device is a master node on an MS/TP network. The value of this property shall reflect the value of the Max_Master property of the enabled Network Port object with the lowest object instance whose Network_Type is MSTP. See 12.X.37.

If the device supports execution of the WriteProperty service, then this property shall be writable and the valid range for the value of this property shall be 0 to 127. Writing to this property shall bypass the pending changes functionality of the Network Port Object. See 12.X.11 and 12.X.12.

      Coleman

        Ok, I made that change.

Here's my proposed language for the slave proxy properties.

        [Replace Clause 12.11.41, p 201]

        12.11.41 Manual_Slave_Address_Binding

This property, of type List of BACnetAddressBinding, describes the manually configured set of slave devices for which this device is acting as a Slave Proxy as described in 16.10.2. This property shall be present if the device is capable of performing the functions of a Slave-Proxy device. The set of devices described by this property consists of those devices described by the Manual_Slave_Address_Binding properties of the Network Port objects whose Network_Type is MSTP. See 12.X.40.

        [Replace Clause 12.11.43, p 202]

        12.11.43 Slave_Address_Binding

This property, of type List of BACnetAddressBinding, describes the set of slave devices for which this device is acting as a Slave Proxy as described in 16.10.2. This property shall be present if the device is capable of performing the functions of a Slave-Proxy device. The set of devices described by this property consists of those devices described by the Slave_Address_Binding properties of the Network Port objects whose Network_Type is MSTP. See 12.X.42.

            Ok, I made that change.
