Lots of contributions have listed what people want. Mostly I agree,
      especially
with Ralph about gear for alternate seasons! But we are of course limited to
what has been offered. My suggestion concerns what we should reject.

Can I suggest that we should go very easy on the kinky wanna-be stuff which
      isn't
really all that useful to backpackers. I am not trying to push the SUL line
      here,
but over the last year or so there has been a certain amount of stuff which
      few
self-respecting backpackers would really want. I can understand that there
      are
companies with wierd products who desperately want to get air time, but that
      does
not mean we have to oblige.

In short, can we stay focused on genuine **backpacking** gear please.

      Cheers
      Roger
