Test call: care to run in the muck?
- Five Ten and BGT would like to offer 3 mucky-muck testers the
opportunity to slosh though puddles to their heart's content. We are
testing the "Runamuck" shoe. To learn more, go to the website:
Hover over "Footwear", click on "Water". The men's and women's
Runamuck's are the first two items in the upper left, men's is the
first, women's is the second.
In your test plan I'll be looking for specific travel plans that will
stress the wet condition performance of the shoe. I'll also be
interested to know what kind of loads you'll be carrying, as that will
be a factor in applicability of the shoe. The timing is very good for
a wet-shoe test (though spring might have been better, and I guess its
almost spring Down Under), as the weather is still warm enough that
wet feet should not be a safety issue. This is a lightweight
running/walking shoe, and should appeal to the folks who are
interested in lightening their skin-out weight.
Both genders are encouraged to apply.
Newbie Limit DOES apply, US and International Shipping Included (go
Aussies!), Curt is the Mod.
The call will close midnight (MST) August 6.
Please send your apps to the forum, and I'd appreciate if you copied
me (kwpapke@...) to make sure I have your app.
Application subject line: "Application: Five Ten Runamuck - your name".
They seem to come only in one color/gender.
***check to see if they carry your size before you apply***. Go to
the "Purchase" screen and make sure they carry what you need. I
suspect some of the men with larger feet may not find their size, they
seem to not make the larger sizes.
The usual question that comes with footwear tests is "Do they come in
wide sizes (D, E, etc.)". I assume the answer is NO, given that they
have somewhat limited length selections.
