The 37-year-old Amadeus Choir, directed by noted conductor Lydia Adams, is
one of Canada¹s most distinguished choruses. The Choir is holding its 25th
annual seasonal song-writing competition, and invites submissions of songs
to celebrate Christmas, Chanukah, and the Winter Solstice. Winning entries
will be performed on December 17, 2011 at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church,
Toronto, Ontario. This competition presents an opportunity for composers of
all ages and levels of experience. Many winning works from past years have
      been published.

The competition¹s principal goals are to inspire new compositions, to
motivate composers to develop their craft and to augment the existing choral
      seasonal repertoire.

Additional information about the Choir and the competition can be obtained
on the Amadeus Choir website at http://www.amadeuschoir.com Once you have
found the address, click on "competition", which can be found at the top of
the page. All pertinent information should be there, including a
downloadable entry form. All entries must be postmarked or delivered in
person to the Choir office by October 7, 2011.
