      Contra Costa Children�s Chorus is seeking an experienced and dynamic
      Artistic Director to lead an internationally-renowned children�s
      chorus. With 6 choruses, including an advanced touring chorus and an
      honors ensemble. Under the direction of acclaimed Artistic Director
      Iris Lamanna, CCCC has achieved national and international renown.
      Choristers perform in 23 languages and sing numerous genres of music
      including gospel, opera, Broadway and classical. CCCC has set the
      stage for musical education and performance for Bay Area youth for 26
      years. The successful candidate will continue CCCC�s tradition of
      excellence, teaching, directing, and leading the chorus in performing
      music in a wide variety of languages and genres, at performance
      venues ranging from local Bay Area schools to international choral
      festivals to prestigious global institutions such as Canterbury
      Cathedral, Carnegie Hall and the Vatican.

      Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

      Loves working with young singers of all levels
      Committed to the musical, performance, and personal development of
      choristers
      Experience teaching choral singing techniques to youth, including
      proper vocal sound production and voice care, voice development,
      sight-singing strategies, and use of Solfege
      Experience conducting vocal ensembles in a variety of musical genres,
      including classical, gospel, opera, Broadway, contemporary, and world
      music
      Familiarity with repertoire appropriate for children�s choruses, with
      musical skills ranging from beginner to advanced and ages ranging
      from 5 to 18
      Masters or PhD in a musical performance field
      Effective at instilling discipline, focus, and a thirst for
      excellence among young singers
      Inspiring and dynamic, able to serve as a role model for all choristers
      Committed to promoting CCCC nationally and internationally
      Prior experience supervising artistic and administrative staff
      Organized and results-oriented

      Compensation commensurate with experience and education.
