I am writing to see if there are any men (perhaps also women, but
especially men) interested in joining the "Elena Sharkova Singers" (a
portion of the Symphony Silicon Valley Chorale) to perform choruses from
Henry Mollicone's opera, "Gabriel's Daughter," which will be performed
by the Winchester Orchestra, conducted by Mollicone, on Saturday,
December 15 and Sunday, December 16, with a dress rehearsal on Friday,
December 14. Friday dress is from 7:30 to 8:30 in the West Valley
College theater, in Saratoga. Saturday performance is at 7:30 in the
same location, and Sunday is at 7 p.m. in Trinity Episcopal Cathedral,
81 N. 2nd St., corner of St. John, San Jose.

Elena has described the work as being fun and unusual, different from
the usual choral fare. It is operatic, but somewhat like musical
theater. Some men have dropped out from their previous commitment to
this program, so Elena could really use the help--and, hopefully, the
perfomance will be a good experience, in any event.

Henry Mollicone is a well-known local composer-conductor, who regularly
conducts the Winchester (community) Orchestra. The URL for the
      orchestra is: http://www.geocities.com/winchesterorchestra, where one
can obtain additional information on the orchestra and the concert.

If you think you may be able to help out, or know someone who can,
please contact Elena Sharkova, either at her SSVC email address, which
is: esharkova@..., or give her a call on her cell
      phone, (408) 230-2232.

      Many thanks! Steve Elrick
