      Choralis, the Bay Areas newest vocal ensemble, will make its debut in
      San Francisco performing a capella choral works from the Renaissance to
      Romantic to Recent. Conductor Richard Sparks will lead the ensemble
      through works of Tallis, Lotti, Kuhnau, Rheinberger, Thompson,
      Lauridsen, Mantyjarvi, and others. The seventeen singers of Choralis are
      drawn from the Bay Area's pool of talented professional vocalists, and
      have performed with locally acclaimed ensembles like American Bach
      Soloists, the Grace Cathedral Choirmen, Philharmonia Baroque Chorale,San
      Francisco Choral Artists and Volti.

      Richard Sparks has served as Director of Choral Activities at Pacific
      Lutheran University, and presently earns international acclaim for his
      direction of Pro Coro Canada. He is the founding director of Seattles
      Choral Arts Northwest and has twice been invited to conductthe Swedish
      Radio Choir. He directed the San Francisco Early Music Society Summer
      Workshop Chorus five different times from the mid-80'sto the mid-'90s,
      and now returns to the Bay Area as founding artistic director of
      Choralis.

      Admission is free, but a suggest donation of $10 will be graciously
      accepted.
