Slavyanka, the Bay Area¹s own internationally acclaimed Men¹s Russian Chorus
Slavyanka takes its name from the Russian River, known to Russian settlers
in Northern California as Slavyanka River. The group was formed in 1979 and
has been keeping the choral traditions of Russia and Eastern Europe alive
ever since. The group performs throughout California and has toured in
Russia and Europe. They were the first American group ever invited to
perform in Russia¹s historic M.I. Glinka Kapella Hall and received a
standing ovation from over 900 Russian choral directors. Find out more about
their many CDs and their contributions to three major motion picture
soundtracks at www.slavyanka.org <http://www.slavyanka.org/> .
