Arizona A Cappella, July 17
- !!!CATACOUSTIC GROOVE TAKES BAY AREA BY STORM!!!
Dust storm, that is. This upbeat energetic male
quintet hails from sunny dry Tucson AZ, where they
have been charming street corner and outdoor festival
audiences for six years. Last year they released their
first CD, `The A Cappella Problem', and in June they won
recognition as Best Vocal Ensemble in the Tucson Area
Music Awards, a.k.a. TAMMIES.
CG will roll into Palo Alto in the eye-catching
Magic A Cappella Chevy Suburban on the evening of
Friday 16 July, and set up in Lytton Plaza or wherever
they can find street corner space. Listen for harmonies!
On Saturday 17 July CG has THREE Fisherman's Wharf slots:
(1) Ghirardelli Square from 11:45 - 2:00,
(2) Pier 39 from 3:00 - 4:00,
(3) The Cannery from 4:00 - 7:00.
On Sunday 18 July things get informal again. We will swing by the
Art on the Wharf festival on the Santa Cruz wharf, and perhaps
the Monterey Bay Arts and Crafts Faire.
10^7 thanks to Michael Olivier and everyone who responded to
his call for suggestions of A Cappella venues in the Bay Area!
Your feedback has made us feel very welcome and more
enthusiastic than ever (if possible) about our upcoming
visit to your community. Special thanks to Teri, Bethany,
and Holly at Fisherman's Wharf; it's lovely to work with you.
SEE YOU SOON! - Catacoustic Groove
