      SAN FRANCISCO RENAISSANCE VOICES, Artists-in-Residence with Seventh Avenue Performances, continues its Halloween weekend tradition of presenting the Office of the Dead; this year featuring two of the earliest extant polyphonic requiem masses, the Requiems of Johannes Ockeghem (1410-1497) and Pierre de La Rue (1452-1518). Of the group's 2004 performance of Tomás Luis de Victoria's Requiem, the San Francisco Bay Guardian said they "... make death sound awfully appealing!"
