      Saringhimig Singers is a 24voice, semi-professional Filipino chamber choir which performs a cappella choral musicof all periods songs from the Philippines. Combining a wide variety of music in fresh and unusual ways, the ensemble's thought-provoking performances have engaged the hearts and minds of audiences throughout the USA, Mexico and Europe.
      In the past, Saringhimig won the following international awards: First prize in XXVII Concorso Polifonico Internationale, Guido d’ Arezzo, Italy in 1979; Grand prize in Lehiateka Certamen Cancion y Polifonica Vascas in Tolosa, Spain in 1980; Third prize at the LLangollen International Musical Eisteddfod held in Wales, United Kingdom in 1980; and Top prize in XXIX Concorso Polifonico Internationale, Guido d’ Arezzo, Italy in 1981. In 1981 he also conducted the Ave Maria Male Choral and received the top prize for the male choir category at the XXVIII Concorso Polifonico Internationale, Guido d’ Arezzo, Italy. In 2003, Saringhimig was voted “Best Choir” at the WORLD CHORAL FESTIVAL in Puebla, Mexico and in 2005, they won Third Prize at the Certamen de Habaneras y Polifonia in Torrevieja, Spain.
      Recently, Saringhimig won 3rd prize at CERTAMEN INTERNACIONAL DE HABANERAS Y POLIFONÍA in Torrevieja, Spain, 2005.
