It's nearly time for our 2003 Montreal International chorus and
quartet Championships. We are in final preparation for another great
webcast and I wanted to make sure you knew all about it.

Get the latest updated information at http://www.spebsqsa.org/webcast

We are planning *end-to-end web video coverage live* from the Bell
Centre in Montreal, Canada. Rich Taylor and Phil DeBar will be
returning this year again as on-air hosts.

All times are Eastern Daylight Time (GMT-4) and subject to change
      *** WEDNESDAY JULY 2nd ***
12:00 PM to 3:30 PM - First quartet quarterfinals round. Forty-three
quartets are in the running this year. We'll cover it from start to
      finish, live on the web.

7:00 PM to 10:30 PM - Second quarterfinals round

      *** THURSDAY JULY 3rd ***
7:00 PM to 10:00 PM - AIC Show. Always a great show and it promises
to be one of the best ever this year. AIC= Association of
International Champion quartets....because once a quartet wins they
are retired from competing. This show features those that are still
active, including Acoustix (1990) and Four Voices (2002), in a benefit
for the AIC music scholarship fund.

      *** FRIDAY JULY 4th ***
8:45 AM to 12:00 PM - MBNA America Collegiate Barbershop Quartet
Contest. If you've been listening over the last few years, you know
      how exciting this contest is.

1:15 PM to 4:00 PM - World Harmony Jamboree. Featuring champion
      groups from around the globe.

7:00 PM to 10:30 PM - Quartet semifinals. The last shot for the
      quartets to make the Top-10.

      *** SATURDAY JULY 5th ***
10:30 AM to 4:00 PM - Chorus Competition. Can the Vocal Majority win
an incredible 9th consecutive gold medal? There are a number of top
choruses with new directors this year, how will they do? And always,
wild and crazy things from choruses like the Big Chicken, the Midwest
      Vocal Express, and many others.

6:30 PM to 10:00 PM - Quartet Finals. Our 2003 International Quartet
Champion will be named in the evening. It's going to be an extremely
tight race and as exciting as ever.

      *** REQUIREMENTS ***
You can get all the information from our webcast page at:

We will be including video coverage this year from start to finish.

You'll also want a 56k modem or broadband connection (DSL, cable,

      for 28k or 33k modems.

      *** SUPPORT ***
As has been in the past, we are in need of your help for our
convention webcast. The webcast is funded strictly through
contributions. It costs about $1000 per hour of webcast to produce
and stream to all of the viewers around the world. We've got a great
head start with an extremely generous donation from Daryl Bornstein,
our friends at Mainely A Cappella (http://www.a-cappella.com/) and a
number of patrons that have already contributed, but we've got a long
way to go. What a great opportunity to spread barbershop music across
      the globe.

Please support our efforts this year and become a webcast patron. Our
      patron sign-up page is at

If you have any questions whatsoever, please feel free to contact
Scott Hoge shoge@.... at 800-876-7464 ext 8485, or Phil
      DeBar at 707-544-8738.

Thank you for your continued support. I, and the entire Barbershop
Society, greatly appreciate it. I'll see you on the web.
