Hi AYSO Refs, Just FYI on the larger world of referees. This is a good mix of AYSO and CYSA/High school/Etc. referees, and they usually have pretty good tips.

      Hi AYSO Refs,
Just FYI on the larger world of referees.  This is a good mix of AYSO and CYSA/High school/Etc. referees, and they usually have pretty good tips.  They meet once a month, and no charge to attend.

---------PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO ANY INTERESTED REFEREES-----------------------------------San Jose Soccer Referee
      Association------------------------

Attention SJSRA Members and all other local Soccer Referees-

[Sorry for the late notice but I'm hoping that the vast majority of you already

know about this meeting from previous communications.  I'm just covering

all channels of communication to make sure no one is left out.]

The monthly meeting of the San Jose Soccer Referee Association will be held

on WEDNESDAY, FEB 6th, starting at 7:00 PM in the Cupertino Room at

      the Quinlan Center in Cupertino.

Non-members and guests are welcome and there's no charge to attend, so
please bring a friend.  The moderator for the meeting is USSF National Referee
Emeritus Peter Fletcher (with help from his friends).

Agenda for the Meeting is as follows:

      7:00-7:30    Good of the Game

                           Peter Fletcher (National Referee Emeritus)

      7:30-9:00   CNRA Referee Academy - February 2013

                          The USSF Game Management Model
Lead Instructors:  Peter Fletcher and James Mayes
This presentation is the core to the "new view" on how referees should manage games:  how to understand the different force and issues present in every game, how to view the struggle between game flow and match management, how to properly use advantage and to discipline for misconduct, how to recognize when game is getting out of control and how to bring a game back under control.

      9:00-9:15    SJSRA Business Meeting

Upcoming Events, Club Activities, and other things you need to know.
