Good idea on some basic info for newcomers to the group, links etc. I can
put that in the automatically generated welcome message sent out. I'll try
and create a web page with that info and reference it in the welcome
message. I generate a generic "Info File" and send it out once a month. I
can include it there as well.

If anyone has any information/links that they think should be included,
please post them here, for everyone's benefit and I'll copy them to a file.

Appologies to all who may have not know all the "web speak" or whatever you
want to call it. I still consider myself a newbee at all this too. I have
been into it since I got my lathe about 18 months ago and sort of made the
assumption that everyone else knew it also. I shall in the future attempt to
        give better referances.

On the light side, my lathe has paid for itself already in making repairs to
equipment that would have cost mor than the lathe to replace. (if I don't
        count my time)

Next on the agenda is to turn one of those neat little Mini Die grinders from
HF into a toolpost grinder. I have had very incouraging results from lashing
it to the toolpost and doing an emergency repair on a hardened part in the
        lathe.

I will keep you posted and would love to hear any comments on the idea.
