GP,The flip side of your story is that you were never called on to fix what some idiot did to a chuck. Like leaving swarf on the threads and then power threading the chuck onto the spindle.RickRickBasickly yes. In the shop i worked we had mostly south bend lathes the chucks all where threaded on never had a problem.
