[TV] Nancy Yoon - Actress seen on CSI
- NANCY YOON - ACTRESS/PRODUCER
Ramp Magazine says "Smoking hot and multitalented Nancy Yoon is
poised to conquer the world."- March 2003.
Nancy Yoon is exploding on the scene in television, film and
commercials with beauty, style and one spunky personality.
Keeping her busy and at the forefront of entertainment, she
currently hosts "Tribal Media," an international pop culture show
covering music, film and politics that affect young Americans and
Asian Americans today. She is also the "DVDJ" of insidedvd.com, a
popular web site covering the latest DVD releases with interviews
from such Hollywood notables as Tom Sizemore, Producer of "Saving
Private Ryan," Andrew Fleming, Director of the "The Craft,"
and "Dick," with Kirsten Dunst.
Her professionalism and talent has also been seen as the co-star on
CBS's number #1 rated drama, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." The
episode "The Accused is Entitled," where she portrayed the sexy
femme fatale character, Kim Hsu, drew ratings of over 28 million
viewers and great reviews, including Michael Lucas of L.A. Times - "
Nancy Yoon, playing a girl with drop-dead looks is obviously
beautiful and talented too..." - October 30, 2002.
Her talents extend to politics, running a Congressional Campaign in
2000, working with California delegates in the Capitol building,
organizing high visibility political events, and managing publicity
for a major race in the 24th District of California.
Using her entertainment contacts and experience, she co-produced
special events for the 25th Anniversary of the F16 Fighter Jets for
the U.S. Airforce at Edwards Airforce base and worked with the
U.S.O. to support troops overseas. She is also active in the
community and enjoys volunteering for the Motion Picture and
Television Fund Home, Neil Bogart/TJ Martel Foundation, V.I.T.A.,
Jewish Home for the Aging, Habitat for Humanity, Chrysalis
Foundation, and the American Heart Association. Watch for her
women's line of bags and accessories called "Nancy & Stella" to
become the next fashion statement, which she co-designs and markets.
Rounding out her resume are roles in a few upcoming independent
films, many national commercials, the voice of Teddy Ruxpin, and
currently the model of Alejandra and Jermaine Jackson's AFA Designs.
As the ultimate tomboy, Nancy grew up being the youngest of five
daughters in a large Korean family in Los Angeles, California. She
discovered acting at the tender age of eight, as the lead character
Coldy Cricket, in her elementary school play. Many more theater
productions followed, until she pursued her parents' wishes of
becoming a CPA. A graduate of California State University Northridge
with a Business Administration degree, Nancy paid her dues in a
major CPA firm and worked in Corporate Disney. Her "creative" career
blossomed as she became part of the talent department team at Disney
Channel, famous for discovering and working with such talents as
N'Sync, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Expanding on her
expertise on "Tween" Programming, Nancy held the position as
Director of Marketing at Fox Family Worldwide. There she played a
major role in marketing and developing musical concerts on the
network with talent and musical artists including Hayden
Christianson and Destiny's Child.
In her free time, she enjoys being "Julia Child," decorating and
baking, and says she makes a mean chocolate soufflé and crème
brulee. As an actress, producer, host, model and singer, Nancy
says "you can do anything with hard work, patience, diligence and
lots of faith!"
