      Hi Keka,

      I would reckon 3 things :

      1) Since this is early days yet, you could do well to go through a
good wordlist like GRE/IMS etc. Make sure you do it in by max 1
month with about an hour to hour and a half every day.

      2) Take up a book like Norman Lewis or "All about Words" by
Nurenberg & Rosenblum and do it concurrently or till whatever time
provided you dont spend more than 1hr on it.

      3) Try getting a book like "Common Errors in English" by Longman
and figure the distinction between words ie. whats the difference
between costly & expensive (yes they are different) and so
      on....

The funda is CAT would just chk ur idiomatic usage but once Nov 24
is over then its just a question of few months before the FMs and
the XLRI and such exams where wordlist is tested come. So it
better u devote some time starting from right now.

If your aim is solely CAT i wud advice only steps 2 & 3 from
      above.

      HTH.

      Rgds,

problem in tackling rc,for that u can read editorials
and novels which will also help in improving ur
        reading speeds,but remember don't read leisurely,set
up a time limit for every editorial and keep note of
        ur progress
