Hi Jayanti,
The answers with brief solutions are :
Q1:                      A          B        C
At the start        25          35      30
after one year      35          35      30
after two years      45          25      30
Ratio              21          19      18
ans D

Q2:  let x be the price at A, then price at B is 0.9x.
price difference : x-0.9x
expences : Rs10
net saving = price difference - expenses = 0.1 x - Rs10
but net saving is given to be Rs 10
so, 0.1x - Rs10 = Rs 10
thus,  x=Rs200

Q3: please check the question again.

Q4: let the initial tax rate be Rs100, new tax rate will be Rs120.
let the intial consumption be x, new consumption will be 0.8x.
old expenditure = Rs100x
new expenditure = Rs120 * 0.8x = 96x
so the expenditure has decreased.
