Hi Jayanti,

The answers with brief solutions are :

Q1: A B C

At the start 25 35 30

after one year 35 35 30

after two years 45 25 30

add these 105 95 90

Ratio 21 19 18

ans D

Q2: let x be the price at A, then price at B is 0.9x.

price difference : x-0.9x

expences : Rs10

net saving = price difference - expenses = 0.1 x - Rs10

but net saving is given to be Rs 10

so, 0.1x - Rs10 = Rs 10

thus, x=Rs200

Q3: please check the question again.

Q4: let the initial tax rate be Rs100, new tax rate will be Rs120.

let the intial consumption be x, new consumption will be 0.8x.

old expenditure = Rs100x

new expenditure = Rs120 * 0.8x = 96x

so the expenditure has decreased.

Hi Jayanti,

The answers with brief solutions are :

Q1: A B C

At the start 25 35 30

after one year 35 35 30

after two years 45 25 30

add these 105 95 90
