*Objective of the Book*
The aim of this proposal is to show recent and novel applications of
Soft Computing in the field of energy, specially Renewable Energy and
Energy Efficiency. To be precise, this book is aimed at gathering
results and conclusions associated with the applications of Soft
Computing to different technological environments within these fields
and showing the technical superiority of the solutions provided.
The work will provide both researchers and practitioners with a
catalogue of the most successful Soft Computing methodologies applied to
Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.
*Recommended topics include, but are not limited to the following:*
Soft Computing Applications in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency:
- Energy Renewable Resources: Solar, Wind, Geothermal, Biomass, Biogas,
Biofuels, Hydropower, Hydrogen and Ocean (wave, tidal,...).
- Applications in Renewable Energy.
- Applications in Efficiency Energy.
- Applications and Services of Renewable Energy in Rural Areas, Isolated
Areas, Buildings, Industry, Electricity and Transport
- Policy of Environmental Impact and Sustainability: Economic aspects,
Environmental impact, ...
- Others: Smart Cities, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Measurement and
Verification of Energy Savings, ...
Potential contributors are invited to submit an extended proposal (2-3
pages) by September 30, 2013. The finally accepted chapter proposals
will be notified by October 10, 2013. Full chapters are expected to be
submitted by December 30, 2013. All submitted chapters will be reviewed
on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to
serve as reviewers for this project.
September 30, 2013: Extended Proposal Submission
October 10, 2013: Final Notification of
December 30, 2013: Full Chapter Submission
March 15, 2014: Review Results Returned
April 15, 2014: Revised Chapter Submission
April 30, 2014: Final Acceptance
May 15, 2014: Submission of Final Chapter
