I got interested because my kids were watching it.  Both are still at home, but are 22 and 23.  The latter is in community college, and will receive his first degree this month.  This time next year, he will graduate completely with his second degree.  The 22 year-old has a job.

The problems with series like this is the fact that demographic groups hardly ever go past 7 years.  I don't know how Dragnet managed to go as long as it did.  Adam-12 and Emergency! both had 7 year contracts.

The Thoroughbred series went to volume 72.  I am still trying to get a Super Edition penned!  The series' producers were interested in it.

Back to Arthur, however.  Did Mr. Ratburn ever actually marry?  I had created a fanfic about his marrying a mouse-woman with high-functioning autism.  I saw that the series had introduced a character with autism.  I had sent the suggestion to UNC-TV through Division TEACCH (autism services) since they are part of the UNC system.

I think producers need to make characters more viewer-friendly, and viewer interactive.  With the internet, ideas for shows shouldn't be hard to find.
