RE: [art_education] HELP!! With lessons!
You sound like you are headed in the right directions. What a wonderful
treat to teach at an art museum!
Do you have some sort of overriding theme that you're using? Like
"Explore our Museum" or "Art thru the Ages" or "Meet the Masters" or
"Elements and Principles of Art"? If you could let us know that, we
could help you a bit more. Also, then, what type of projects do you
already have? How about materials?

Subject: [art_education] HELP!! With lessons!
I'm in my last year of college (student teaching) and I just got hired
at an art museum to teach classes to 8 yr olds. I have to come up
with 13 lessons and so far I only have 6, I've racked my brain and I'm
stumped. My lessons also seem to be all over the place instead of
going in a sequence. I'm beginning to doubt my abilities as a
teacher. My college focuses on English/Reading so most of the things
they teach I have not been able to transfer in to art. I am the ONLY
art content area person in my class so there is no one to compare
notes with. For student teaching this semester I also have to come up
with a unit plan for middle school, this I am also stumped on. Can
ANYONE point me in the right direction, offer advice, or let me know
where I can find some information!?? I am starting to panic...
