- Hi Julie - Just an idea... but pipe cleaners may be a great option.
They are light weight and travel well - and can be used for SO MANY things -- like making people (to scale or not to scale - and not just stick people either), creatures, numbers/letters, WIRE art, words, certain types of weaving, teaching colors or color relationships, sewing, shape lessons, faith crosses, layered and twisted to make containers -- students can even draw in the dirt with one if needed. - And small nail clippers can be used to cut if needed.
